Youth activist of PPFA T.Alisoy is arrested for 20 days (UPDATED)
Baku/06.03.14/Turan : Youth PFPA activist Turkel Alisoy has been arrested administratively for 20 days on charges of disobeying police. He was arrested the day before, and today the court adopteed a decision on his arrest.
The PPFA believes that a young person is being persecuted for political reasons for taking part in the march on February 26 after a visit to the memorial of the victims of the Khojaly genocide.
According to PPFA, five activists of the party have been arrested for participating in this march 15-20 days earlier. -16D-

No information has been obtained about a member of the Youth Committee of the Board of PFPA, Turkel Alisoy. He disappeared yesterday morning and his mobile phone is switched off. According to his brother, two men in civilian clothes came to the house in the morning and were interested in the location of Alisoy.
The activist's family wrote a statement to Police Station No 35 of the Khatai district of the capital on Turkel's disappearance.
In PFPA they believe that the young man is being persecuted for political reasons.
Attempts to obtain any information from the press service of the MIA on this issue failed.
Earlier, five members of the Popular Front Party were sentenced to administrative detention for 15 and 20 days. -16D04-

Elvin Zeynalov, a religious activist living in the village of Mashtaga, was detained on January 31 around noon by individuals in plain clothes outside a store near his home. According to his relatives, later in the evening, Zeynalov was brought back home by people in black clothing, who conducted a search. On January 31, the trial of opposition politician Tofig Yagublu continued at the Baku Serious Crimes Court, where the examination of documents resumed.
