Youth activists schedule a rally on Saturday at Fountain Square
A group of activists from youth organizations and branches of opposition parties intend to hold a rally on October 20 at 15:00 at Fountain Square in Baku, demanding the dissolution of Parliament. The action was announced via the social network facebook group "Dissolve Parliament."
The demand to dissolve parliament was caused by the videotaped interview of MP Guler Ahmadova with a former rector of Azerbaijan International University, Elshad Abdullayev, during which they discussed the bribe for the election of Abdullayev as a member of parliament. Organizers of the rally say the video is evidence of the formation of the deputies "on the list" of the ruling elite and the illegitimacy of the parliament.
The Executive Power of Baku did not authorize the rally and invited young activists hold a rally in the courtyard of the driver's school at the 20th site instead. However, the organizers intend to go to Fountain Square. A number of opposition forces, including "Public Chamber", support the rally. –06D--
