Zahid Oruj is expelled from the party "Fatherland"
Because of the nomination of his candidacy for president in the upcoming elections, the deputy chairman of pro-government party, MP Zahid Oruj was expelled from the party.
Today the "misbehavior" of Oruj was discussed in the party leadership, which decided to expel him from the party.
In this regard, the leader of the party, Fazail Agamaly, confirmed Oruj’s expel from the party.
The press service of the party reads: "The Audit Committee discussed the actions by Zahid Oruj, recognizing it is a constitutional right. However, there is a decision of the Sixth Congress of the party "Fatherland" to support the candidature of Ilham Aliyev. Without notifying the governing bodies of the party Zahid Oruj nominated his own candidacy for the presidency of the country. Thus, he went against the party, and violated several provisions of the Constitution. For this reason, it was decided to exclude Oruj from the party," reads the statement. -03B-
