During his visit to Iran the Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov met in Tehran with the Chief of Staff of Iranian Armed Forces Seyied Hassan Firuzabadi , Iranian media reported.
During the meeting they discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and regional security. Firuzabadi noted that the Azerbaijani delegation familiarized with military equipment and weapons produced in Iran, and the parties have reached certain agreements.
On April 15 Zakir Hasanov together with his Iranian counterpart Hussein Deghan held in Tehran press conference, said the agency "Mehr."
Responding the question of the possible use of the territory of Azerbaijan for Israeli air strikes against Iran , Hasanov said that there is not such a threat. Azerbaijan will not allow to use its territory for such attacks. He also said that the Constitution prohibits the placing military bases of any country on the Azerbaijani territory.
The Iranian Defense Minister Hussein Dehgan said that Iran supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Zakir Hasanov has been in Iran at the invitation since April 14 at the invitation of Iranian Defense Minister, Major General Husein Dehgan. -16D04-
