By the end of the year the rate of manat may be 90 kopecks per dollar
The rate of manat by the end of the year may fall to 90 kopecks per dollar, said in an interview with Turan member of the Committee on Economic Policy of the Milli Majlis, Ali Masimli.
Commenting on the known decisions of the Central Bank on the establishment of the national currency rate on the basis of the currency basket, he said that the rate of the manat to the euro will be determined by the ratio of the national currency to the dollar.
He explained this by the fact that the share of the euro in the currency basket will be 25-30% and the dollar willhigher by twotimes.
Masimli does not believe that the fall in oil prices will seriously affect the performance of the state budget revenues of Azerbaijan. Although 65% of the budget are provided due to oil revenues, 53% of these funds are insured.
Therefore, the drop in oil prices will affect only the remaining 12%, that is about 2.3 billion dollars.
Under the current oil prices, the state budget may receive less total one billion manat, while its total volume is 21 billion manat.
"This will not affect the stability of the budget, and will not generate serious problems. All salaries, pensions and other payments will be made on time and in full volume," said the deputy. At the same time, Masimli noted the need for reform in order to reduce dependence on the oil factor in the economy of the country.
"We should transfer from an economic model of economy built on the oil factorto the dynamically developing economy. Themain thing is the human factor rather than raw. It is necessary to carry out political and economic reforms at the same time, provide economic freedoms, eliminate bureaucratic arbitrariness, to strengthen the fight against corruption," said the deputy. -03C06-
