- You live in Germany; you may personally know the participants in the events. How was everything really?

Çingiz Sultansoy- For now, it is only known that Mehti Halilbeyli, a member of the European Coordination Center of the Musavat Party in Germany (AKM – Azerbaijan), was arrested. Alovsat Aliyev, the head of the NGO Legat, has nothing to do with the Musavat party, although the charges are similar.

AKM Chairman Ilham Hassan, whom I met here in Germany, is at large. It is not known exactly whether he was detained, according to a Meydan TV employee living in Berlin, Gabib Muntazir, or he was not detained at all, as I. Khasan himself stated, or if he was only questioned and released. I called him several times, the phone is closed. Once he called me via Facebook, apparently in response to my calls, but then I did not hear. That is all for now. I have not talked to him yet.

It is known that AKM held a meeting at which Khalilbeyli was condemned, and Musavat created a commission to clarify it all out.

I was acquainted with the document that surfaced from the very beginning in the network - this is a court decision of Koblenz to search the apartment of Rashad Mammadov, who is one of the defendants in this case. It was translated orally for me, it follows from it that the prosecution and this investigation are largely based on the testimonies of Rashad Mammadov himself. However, I suspect R. Mammadov about the veracity, and the most serious suspicions of conscious lies and misinformation. On the other hand, I believe that the German police would not conduct an investigation and arrests if it had not studied the issue in detail and had no good reason. I note that the arrest itself does not mean guilt, just as being free does not mean the absence of charges. So far, we know little. I had specific serious suspicions regarding R. Mammadov when I saw and heard him on the Internet in Ismail Jalilov’s “Düz Danışaq” broadcast.

The program of Ismayil Jalilov:

- What are your suspicions based on?

- I will list it with a detailed explanation.

1. In an interview, R. Mammadov said that he was a member of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan. (In an interview, it begins at the mark 1 hour 11 minute 08 second.) He claims that he is so opposed that when he is introduced to some person from Musavat, he gets such sympathy and respect for him, perceives his words as “The Law given by Allah”. (1.11.40)

2.Mammadov further states that he decided to speak on the Düz Danışaq television channel in order to clarify this confusing issue and show everyone the truth. True, according to him, the party and AKM sell documents; AKM provides various services, helping those wishing to obtain the status of a political emigrant in Germany and in other countries, places intelligence agents (!) Here, therefore, participates in the investigation here not only criminal police, but also German counterintelligence. Some of the agents stationed here, sensing danger, have already returned to Azerbaijan (the beginning of the passage at 1 h. 47 min. 10 sec., as well as at 1.48.10).

3.R. Mammadov tells the truth because he is generally for the truth. He is an opposition fighter for justice. To the question of the presenter I. Jalilov, why did you start to tell all this, Rashad Mammadov answered that he was doing this because of the injustice (which happened in AKM), people were deceived, and they violated their rights. Azerbaijan has the same authoritarian regime, "we came here to say our word, to continue our struggle here." (1.27.59)

4. R.Mammadov says, “The biggest assistants to the Yezidi-Kurdish government of Ilham Aliyev are the opposition leaders!” (2.05.03)

5.Further, R. Mammadov says that on January 23, 2018, after a monetary conflict, M. Khalilbeyli came to his house with another man, attacked him, suffered traumatic brain injuries, stab wounds, his arm was broken, and he was kicked an infant daughter, she still has not recovered from shock, etc. . (2.18.20 - 2.21.07)

6.Mammadov said that he was in intensive care ward, and then, in twelve hours, he ran away from the hospital, unwound the bandages and went home to M. Khalilbeyli.

I clarify in detail the statements of Mammadov, because they help me to understand the situation more than a court document in his name, posted on the network. Everything seems clear with the document; the charges and the accused are named. Let us check Mammadov’s statements in order.

I made inquiries, and it turned out that this Rashad Mammadov is not a member of the Popular Front Party! He never was. This is a frank impostor. I asked Mamed Ibrahim, who was recently released from prison as a prominent front-line soldier, adviser to the chairman of the Popular Front party, member of the PFPA presidium, and he told me that Rashad Mammadov was never a party member (!), Although he came to him and expressed a desire to join the party. However, R. Mammadov was suspicious of his behavior and statements that he wanted to join the party in order to emigrate with the necessary documents. Mammadov even came to the authorized PFPA rally at the stadium, waved the flag there, took pictures with Mammad Ibrahim, several other prominent party members, and insistently asked him to give him at least a questionnaire of the PFPA member, etc. There were several conversations with him and the result was that they refused to accept him; they did not even give out a questionnaire.

Now this truth-loving person talks about trading certificates in Musavat, in which he participated, tells, “details” that should convince us of his truthfulness and honesty, that he tells this because he wants to “clear Musavat from the inside”. It is not clear if Musavat and its members are so holy to him, why did he try to join not the Musavat party, but the Popular Front party. I am not going to comment on his words about the placement of agents of Musavat among refugees and displaced persons, with whom deals the counterintelligence agencies of the Federal Republic of Germany. He also talks about some dirty details in which he was involved, and for which the announcer Jalilov apologized after the transfer.

R. Mammadov claims on the air that he escaped from the authoritarian regime in Azerbaijan and came here to Europe to say his word, to continue his struggle here. What a fight? How did he actually fight, what did he do at home? Mammadov is silent about this, and the presenter I. Jalilov does not ask him. Mammadov claims that he has a law degree, and let slip that he had worked in law enforcement bodies for a long time, he also let slip that his brother worked as a police officer. How could the law enforcement officer from the opposition and his brother work in police? Yes, this happens, but very rarely and always ends with arrest, imprisonment, torture. Remember Rufat Safarov. This is clearly not the same case - Mammadov does not tell about his arrest and torture. He only makes pathos slogans about his struggle for truth and justice, against the government and about opposition leaders helping I. Aliyev. What does this indicate?

The episode about the attack Mehdi Khalilbeyli and the escape from the hospital in general resembles an Indian film, just like the searches of the counterintelligence of the FRG agents among those who want to obtain a residence permit for Azerbaijanis. Escaping from intensive care ward with a traumatic brain injury, stab wounds, a broken arm in a cast and going to pay to M. Khalilbeyli? This is for fans of Bollywood; a clever person will not believe it. However, this point of questions did not cause the host either.

Why should I believe this “fighter for truth and justice in Azerbaijan and Europe” Rashad Mammadov, who is one of the defendants in this case? Yes, he claims that he was Khalilbeyli’s driver and carried out his orders. Poor, naive and honest fighter for the truth Rashad Mammadov, an ex-law enforcement officer who has been working for the “Khalilbeyli gang” since 2014, who suddenly remembered his own honesty and truth when he was beaten up and stabbed with a knife by his boss. Why should we believe at least one of his words, if he is clearly lying, telling tales for naive simpletons and fools?

He is now actively used, his statements are based on broadcasts, articles are published, many accusations are written in networks, trolls are added to add fuel to the fire, and a whole campaign of black PR is going on. In general, behind all this, are those who want to denigrate not only the Musavat leadership, but also the party itself, as well as other leading opposition parties. This is on the one hand. On the other, sow discord between Musavat and the Popular Front Party. It is beneficial to the   Azerbaijani government, which acts through the next provocateur, using and fanning this scandal in order to damage the reputation and discredit the opposition party. The name of the party is inclined in all the powerful and near-power media; there they even hurried to pronounce the verdict. However, Musavat’s sentence was also passed earlier, more than once, but it is still alive and instills fears with the authorities, and therefore they are trying to undermine her reputation. Everything is clear with this.

However, even if you sweep away the stream of lies and slander, serious questions remain for the leadership of Musavat. AKM and party leaders are accused of issuing certificates and accepting random people into the party. Reliable members of the Musavat Tofig Yagublu and Yadigar Sadigli party, well known in society, say this.

T. Yagublu and Y. Sadigli talked about this long before the scandal, and voiced at the party congress. They ask questions to which the party leadership gives answers that do not satisfy Yagublu and Sadigli. This all happens through TV channels and Facebook.

I also have questions. For example, why the Musavat leadership does not invite Yadigyar Sadigli and Tofig Yagublu to the conversation and does not give them clear answers and explanations? Why is it impossible to disclose list 197 only, or at least part of this list, and other documents that they want to see only for Y. Sadigly and T. Yagublu? The party leadership suggests that if Yagublu and Sadigli have any documents, then let them submit them to the commission, but do not disclose the names of the members of the commission, as Sadigli requires. Why cannot you disclose the names of the commission members? Why is this secrecy needed if there is nothing to hide? Why is it impossible to include at least one of the critics in this very commission? What kind of discussions are these through TV channels and social networks?

After all, the answers to these questions would put an end to the rumors that are being intensely inflated in the media, in networks by the authorities, its trolls, frankly profiting from this by corrupt, dirty people and, hitherto indifferent to the opposition, its troubles and problems.
