Baku/08.09.21/Turan: Over the past day, 2557 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Azerbaijan, 3592 patients recovered, 39 died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on September 8.
The total number of infected since the beginning of the pandemic was 450,282, of which 393,569 were cured, 5959 died, treatment of 50,754 active patients continues. Over the past day, 15,220 coronavirus tests have been carried out.
Also, 64,033 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered per day. At the same time, 26 550 were vaccinated with the first dose, 37483 with the second. The total number of vaccines used was 7,371,182.

On January 29, municipal elections were held in Azerbaijan, with over 16,000 candidates participating across 118 constituencies.
