400 kg of drugs were seized from illegal traffic in a month and a half – the Ministry of Internal Affairs
Baku/21.08.23/Turan: The Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has seized 400 kg of drugs and 7,300 methadone tablets worth 32 million manats from illicit trafficking over the past 45 days, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Members of an organized gang engaged in drug smuggling from Iran to Azerbaijan and persons who organized the sale of drugs were detained. Members of the organized group: Azer Badalov, Amrah Alizade, Nurlan Bayramov, Elmin Mammadov, Gudrat Hasanov and Samira Novruzalieva.
67 kg of drugs and psychotropic substances were seized from them: 20 kg of heroin, 29 kg of marijuana, 10 kg of opium and 8 kg of methamphetamine.
During the specified period, during various operations of police officers, a total of 66 people involved in drug trafficking in the country were detained. ---0---
