Baku / 07.09.20 / Turan: 89 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Azerbaijan, 132 patients recovered, three people died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan said.
To date, 37,418 cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in Azerbaijan. 34,837 patients recovered, 551 patients died, 2,030 active patients with COVID-19 continue to be treated in special hospitals. -0-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
