The police detained a women who kidnapped a two-month-old girl in the city of Sumgait. She was a resident of Baku Khirda Babayeva. This is a woman does not have her own children, and therefore decided to kidnap a newborn baby, according to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
Babayeva arrived in Sumgayit and became interested in refugee families living there. She represented herself as a staff of the "Fund assistance to needy families."
There she met Aysel Akhmedova, saw her 2-year-old daughter, and decided to kidnap. Having gained the trust of a young family, she brought them food, and on 13 August she run away with a child.
Mother immediately reported this to the duty service of the Interior Ministry 102, and a lawsuit was filed under the Article 144.1 (kidnapping.)
As a result of search operations, Babayeva was arrested on September 3, said the Attorney General.

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
