A large underground network for the production of fake alcohol has been liquidated
Baku / 16.01.20 / Turan: The Interior Ministry announced the liquidation of an underground fake liquor production workshop.
According to the same source, an organized group engaged in the manufacture and distribution of fake drinks in restaurants and celebration houses was neutralized.
The criminal group was led by a resident of Baku, Nazim Dushdurov. He owns a network of wine houses and warehouses in the Nasimi district of Baku, as well as underground workshops in Khatai, Surakhansky and Binagadi districts of the capital. Using fake labels in these workshops, fake Jack Daniels and Chivas whiskeys were made, and various types of vodka, tequila and other spirits. The total number of counterfeit detected was 60 thousand bottles.
The examination revealed that all the detected products are not suitable for consumption and even harmful, it has a high content of methyl alcohol and toxins.
A criminal case has been instituted on the fact against Nazim Dushdurov and members of his criminal group, all of them were arrested.
In recent months, several cases of food poisoning from various alcoholic and soft drinks have been recorded in the country.
Law enforcement authorities have identified several clandestine shops that have been producing fake large quantities of alcohol in large quantities.-03D-
