According to official information, 53% of the population lives in the city, and 47% live in rural areas; 49.9% of the population are men, 50.1% are women. According to the State Statistics Committee, currently there are 1006 women for every 1000 men on average.
However, according to the statistics on newborns, these indicators have changed significantly.
