A veteran of the Karabakh war opposes the felling trees

 The Karabakh war veteran Rovshan Gafarov  is ready to commit an act of self-immolation in protest against the felling the park in the village of "Yeni Guneshli", where they want to build a house. According to  Turan Gafarov, construction  is carried out by the Housing and Construction Works "Absheron", and the place is in the vicinity of schools N275 and N279.

"The park is located on an area of ​​about one hectare. In May, they have already cut down old-age 20 trees, for which the Ministry of Environment has fined the guilty to 3000 manats. Since then, they have disappeared, but today, on October 5 they appeared again, and want to fence the park. We, the locals  are against it,  and have reported this to the builders. After they ignored our demands, I doused myself with gasoline and threatened to set fire to. Then the police came and took me to the 33th department," he said.

According to the veteran, it is the only park in the county, where people can relax, and  children  can play. How can  they sell this place and build there? Those who issued thepermmision for the building should canceled it, said the veteran.
