Baku/21.06.23/Turan: 4 Azerbaijani citizens involved in the networks of Iranian drug traffickers were detained in Baku.
In particular, as stated in the message of the Interior Ministry, during the operation carried out by employees of the Narimanov district police department, a previously convicted resident of the capital, Elmar Mamishov, was detained. About 5 kg of heroin was found with him.
During another operation, Niyazi Guliyev, Nazim Novruzov and Ziya Zakirov, who organized illegal drug sales in the capital, were detained and handed over to the investigation. In total, they were found to have 2 kg of heroin.
The detainees reported that they had purchased drugs from Iranian citizens, known to them as "Rza" and "Milad" through social networks for further sale.
A criminal case has been initiated against the detainees, the investigation is ongoing. -06B-
