Actions of students is postponed; demands remain in force
Action of protest scheduled for today at Baku State University (BSU) has been postponed, but earlier demands remain in force, according to Turan correspondent from BSU. Another protest action did not take place due to security measures taken by authorities to prevent a new action of protest.
Students insist on punishing the guards and employees of trade unions, beating students, and the dismissal of the current trade union and the creation of an alternative organisation.
Among the demands is: to stop the pressure on students and their parents. Students also demand that the Cabinet of Ministers eliminate its decision on the paying for academic debts.
These demands were read by a member of the Student Committee in front of the entrance to the BSU courtyard. -16D04-
