Activist, Blogger Elchin Hasanzadeh Detained in Mingachevir
Baku / 09.06.20 / Turan: The human rights activist Elchin Hasanzadeh was detained in Mingachevir.
“I am being taken to the 4th branch of the city police department,” he told Turan.
He explained his detention with his recent criticism of the local authorities. Hasanzadeh previously stated that he was being banished from Mingachevir as a “radical journalist.”
In particular, he argued that, on behalf of the head of the utilities of the city, Shahriyar Mustafayev, the owner of the rented apartment was required to evict Hasanzadeh.
We failed to get comments from the police in Mingachevir. –06B-
