Activist of REAL Not Released from Country
A member of the Board of the movement REAL Azer Gasimli was detained today at the checkpoint Boyuk Kesik on the border with Georgia.
‘I was going to Georgia and at the border post they told me that there is a ban on my leaving the country, but no one I had informed me on this subject in advance,’ Gasimli told Turan.
He recalled that all the Board members had been questioned in the prosecutor's office after being confiscated posters with the image of the leader of the movement, Ilgar Mammadov. However, they were not reported on any restrictions against them.
Gasimli contacted the prosecutor who investigates the case and he said that the activist should return to Baku, ‘so that it was possible to look into the matter.’
Recall that the posters against the referendum on September 26 were ordered in the Ganun publishing house. When the activists came to pick them up, there were the police, saying that a bomb was put in the building. The posters were confiscated and all the activists of REAL were interrogated. Later, the movement’s Co-chairman Natig Jafarli was arrested. -16D-

Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
