Again landslide in the Bailov area
Baku / 12.10.18 / Turan: On the night on October 12, a landslide occurred along the highway from the 20th sector settlement in the direction of Badamdar. According to eyewitnesses, cracks appeared along the support wall built earlier on the mountainside. According to the executive power of the Sabail district of the capital, residents of eight nearby houses have been warned about the need to leave their homes.
Members of the Emergency Commission, the leadership of the Sabail District, the Emergencies Ministry and the Ministry of Environment came to the scene. At present, the movement of vehicles is restricted on this route and the work of nearby objects has been stopped. On Friday afternoon, electricity was cut off in this zone.
It should be noted that this territory is a mountain slope built up with one and two-story houses. The place called the Bailov slope is traditionally considered uninhabitable. However, for many years there has been illegal construction of private housing. Periodically landslides in this area destroy homes and objects. Measures taken to prevent the landslide are ineffective. -02D-
