An oil worker lost in the offshore platform
BP as operator of the Azeri-Chirag- Deepwater Gunashli (ACG) field regrets to confirm that a person working for the drilling contractor on the Deepwater Gunashli (DWG) platform was reported missing this morning on 8 November 2016.
No further details can be confirmed at this stage.
BP has activated its Incident Management Team and is taking the necessary action to account for the missing person, including the deployment of search and rescue resources in the Caspian Sea.
The next of kin and the relevant government agencies have been notified. BP is closely working with the government response resources. The field is located approximately 60 km from the coast. Weather in the morning on November 8was calm, there was no wind. -02D-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
