Another resident of the village of Nardaran arrested

Baku/17.04.17/Turan: At the end of last week, workers of the 14th police station in Sabunchu district detained a local resident Alesker Jabbarov. According to his relatives, a lawsuit was filed against Jabbarov under Article 228.1 and 228.4 of the Criminal Code (illegal storage of weapons under aggravating circumstances.)

After the detention of Jabbarov in the pro-government media suddenly appeared a video shoot, on which he confesses that he found a cut-off, grenade and bayonet in the dump, brought home, and then stashed it all in his shop.

However, Jabbarov's relatives are convinced that all this is a lie, and he was forced to give such confessions. According to them, the police had long hunted for Alesker after his brother Jabbar Jabbarov, who is the deputy of the movement "Muslim Unity", was sentenced to 19 years of imprisonment.

Lawyer Fariz Namazli told Turan that he was not allowed to meet with his client, who was being held in Kurdakhany pre-trial detention center. The lawyer submitted his warrant to the police in Sabunchu district, but he was asked to send the warrant by mail.

The lawyer believes that the police specifically delay the meeting of the lawyer with the arrested person in order to have a maximum of time for Jabbarov's interrogations without the participation of a lawyer. -25B-
