The military Prosecutor`s office reported the suicide of a soldier
Baku/26.07.23/Turan: The Baku Military Prosecutor's Office received information that a serviceman of the N-th military unit of the Ministry of Defense, soldier Alekperov Ilkin Elbrus oglu committed suicide by shooting himself with a firearm.
In fact, a criminal case has been opened under Article 125 (incitement to suicide) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, witnesses have been questioned, appropriate examinations have been appointed and the necessary investigative actions have been carried out, the Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan reported. ---06B---

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
