Arif Yunus Returned to Prison after Medical Examination
The convicted historian Arif Yunus for a few days was examined in medical establishments of the Penitentiary Service of the Justice Ministry. The day before he was returned to the MNS jail. Turan was told by the Deputy Chief of the Medical Department of the Justice Ministry Iftikhar Gurbanov.
According to him, as a result of surveys, "they did not reveal serious pathologies" at Arif Yunus
As Gurbanov noted, due to hypertension, which Yunus suffered even before his arrest, experts gave recommendations as appropriate, after which he was returned to the MNS jail.
Recall that Yunus suffered several hypertensive crises over the past year, while under arrest.
The Yunus couple was arrested a year ago. On August 13 the court sentenced them to 8.5 and 7 years in prison on charges of economic crimes. They rejected the accusations and said the political motives of the criminal case. The United States, the United Kingdom, the Council of Europe, the EU, the European Parliament and many international non-governmental organizations have condemned the verdict on the spouses Yunus. -06D-

A fire has erupted at the Experimental and Testing Production of the Scientific Research Institute of SOCAR (the state oil company) in the Surakhani district of Baku, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
