Armenian Defense Minister Says 25 Armenian Soldiers Captured
During the fighting on 2-4 April 28 Armenian soldiers got missing. These were the findings of the Armenian side until 6 April. However, on Wednesday evening, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan admitted that 25 people were taken prisoner.
According to him, three of the 28 were killed; therefore, he said 25 people were taken prisoner.
Ohanyan also added that Armenia appealed to the Red Cross to initiate work for the exchange of these prisoners of war for the bodies of the killed Azerbaijani soldiers.
In turn, the representative of Karabakh separatists, David Babayan said the Armenians have no Azerbaijani prisoners of war.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has not commented on these allegations by Ohanyan. -02D-
