The Narimanov court of Baku on 22 January continued the trial of the head advisor of the Popular Front Party Mammad Ibrahim. The lawyer Yalcin Imanov told Turan that during the trial her said the witness Mohammed Gurbanov did not come to the trial and the witness Oruj Jalilyev could not recall the events. Therefore, the lawyer asked the court to withdraw them from the list of witnesses. However, the applications were rejected without explanation. The next court hearing is scheduled for January 29.
M. Ibrahim was arrested on 30 September last year, based on the complaint of the former member of the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party Mikail Guliyev, and charged with disorderly conduct (221.1). Later this article was reclassified to a heavier article 221.2.2. -05B04-

The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.

During the operation of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 5 members of an organized group engaged in drug trafficking were detained. All of them have previous convictions: Bahlul Ismayilov, Royal Aliyev, Khayal Aliyev, Samir Aghayev, and Ali Mammadli.
