Attempt to smuggle 100 thousand dollars across the border prevented
Baku / 17.02.20 / Turan: On February 15, customs officers at the Baku International Airport stopped an attempt by a passenger, whose name is not disclosed, flying on a Baku-Istanbul flight, to smuggle $100,000, the Customs Committee informed.
When checking passenger baggage, an X-ray machine detected suspicious items. During a visual inspection of the contents of the luggage, hidden cash for 100 thousand US dollars was found in garments. Another 1,500 dollars was in the pocket of the passenger's trousers.
Customs does not report what has been done on this fact.
The allowed cash that can be transported across the border is 10 thousand US dollars. -02D-
