Attorney general calls on to condemn Orhan Zeynalova to 18 years

Prosecutor asked to find the citizen of Azerbaijan, Orhan Zeynalov, guilty of the murder of Yegor Shcherbakov, and to sentence him to 18 years in prison, the prosecutor said today at the trial in the Moscow City Court.

"The prosecution is convinced of Zeynalov's guilt in murder of Shcherbakov. He cynically and coolly killed Shcherbakov,"  said the prosecutor. "I ask to sentence to him 18 years imprisonment,  10 years to  be served  in prison,  and the rest - in  jail," he said. A 29-years-old  Zeynalov is accused of killing committed as hooliganism.

Relatives of  Shcherbakov also filed a civil suit against the defendant to 5,000,000 rubles against the defendant. Zeynalov does not admit these demands.

According to investigators, at night October 10, 2013 Zeynalov in the state of  intoxication, using unimportant reason provoked a conflict with the 25-year-old Muscovite, Yegor Shcherbakov. The incident occurred in the Vostryakov.  During the fight Zeynalov stabbed  Shcherbakov in the chest and waist, and fled the scene. A young man died on the spot from wounds.

On October 13 locals gathered in Birulev and demanded to find and punish the murderer. Spontaneous rally changed into riots, during which 400 people were detained. On October 15 on suspicion of murder Zeynalov was arrested  in Kolomn.-16B-
