AZAL Bans Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Phones Carriage
The Azerbaijani state airline AZAL has introduced a ban on the transport of smartphones Samsung Galaxy Note 7 both in hand luggage and checked baggage. This decision was taken after a similar ban by various carriers around the world, said the AZAL spokesman.
In the case of detection of a smartphone in one’s hand luggage, the passenger may be denied boarding and AZAL will not provide storage services at the airport. If a smartphone has been brought on board the aircraft unwillingly, it should be immediately switched off and kept disabled until the end of the flight.
"If a smartphone is found in checked baggage, it will not be loaded on board the plane and will be sent to the lost luggage desk (Lost & Found) at the airport until the passenger’s demand,” the report says.
Earlier, the Galaxy 7 phones several times randomly lit up, creating a threat of fire. After that Samsung stopped the production of this model and withdrew the phones already sold. -02D-
