Tens of thousands of people took part in traditional celebrations to mark the 236 anniversary of American independence, which took place June 4 in downtown Washington.
As the correspondent of Turan reported, despite the heat numerous tourists and Americans from all states loudly and cheerfully celebrated the major holiday.
Among the ongoing activities of the day was a traditional festival of cultures Smitsonian Folk Life Festival, during which guests could taste the cuisine of Azerbaijan - kebab, dolma, and choban salad. The cost ranged from 7 to 10 dollars.

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
