Azerbaijan Recovering from Energy Accident
Baku / 03.07.18 / Turan: The Azerbaijani Communications Ministry reported on ensuring the stable functioning of telecommunications and postal communications in the country in connection with the accident at the Mingachevir Thermal Power Plant.
The services of this agency at night were transferred to the enhanced mode of operation and, thanks to the launch of additional power outlets, ensured the smooth operation of mobile communications, the Internet, mail, television and radio broadcasting.
Azerenerji OJSC in its turn informed about restoration of power supply by 100% in Baku and by 80% in the regions by noon.
CJSC Azerbaijan Railways reported on the departure of the long-distance train Baku-Rostov.
The Moscow-Baku train arrived in Baku with a little delay.
The movement of Baku-Sumgait-Baku electric trains was restored.
Azersu OJSC reported interruptions with water supply in Baku during the day. The reason is that at night due to de-energizing water treatment plants and pumping stations stopped.
Now the facilities are running, but the water pumping to Baku along the Kura water pipeline will take several hours.
