Azerbaijan Rises to 88th Place in FIFA Rankings
The Azerbaijani national team after a successful start in the World Series in 2018 is located on the 88th place in the FIFA rankings. In the rankings published on October 20, the Azerbaijani team has moved 45 positions forward from the 133rd place.
At present, Azerbaijan has 404 points, as it won against Norway 1: 0 and played draw with the Czech Republic 0: 0.
Note that the FIFA ranking is headed by Argentina followed by Germany. The third one is Brazil.
From Azerbaijan rivals in the qualifying group Northern Ireland occupies the 36th place (minus 6 positions), the Czech Republic is located at the 40th spot (- 7), Norway is 81 (-11). The San Marino team is at the 201st place.
From the former Soviet Union the best result belongs to the national team of Ukraine, which occupies the 23rd place. Uzbekistan is No 48, Russia is No 53, Belarus is No 77, Kazakhstan is No 90, Lithuania is No 98, Kyrgyzstan is No 99, Turkmenistan is No 114, Latvia is No 116, Estonia is No 119, Georgia is No 122, Armenia is No 125, Tajikistan is No 140, and Moldova is No 173. -71D-
