Azerbaijani Football Teams Successfully Start in Europa League
The three Azerbaijani football clubs playing in the Europa League have started successfully. On July 7 there were return matches of the first qualifying round of the Europa League.
Kapaz from Ganja won the Moldavian Dacia 1: 0 in a guest match and joined the second stage of the competition. In the first match in Baku the teams played a draw 0: 0.
FC Gabala lost 1: 2 to the Georgian Samtredia in a guest game. However, due to the major victory in its own field with a score of 5: 1 Gabala will also continue to struggle in the competition.
Neftchi from Baku won the first match with Balzan in Malta 2: 0 and nearly paid for overconfidence. In the return match in Baku it opened the score, but then received two goals. Moreover, the guests failed to score a penalty. As a result, Neftchi came out in the second qualifying round due to a better goal difference after the two games.
The winner of the national championship of Azerbaijan Karabakh from Agdam directly obtained the right to start in the Champions League in the second qualifying round.
The rival of Karabakh will be Luxembourg Dudelange. - 0-
