Azerbaijani sportsmen will perform at the Olympics

Official  ceremony of sending the Azerbaijani delegation to participate in the 31's Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro took place in Baku. The official web site of the president said that in the farewell ceremony the President Ilham Aliyev in his speech wished   the athletes good luck. At the ceremony spoke the Minister of Youth and Sport Azad Rahimov, as well as the athletes and their coaches.

According to the Ministry of Sports and Youth   at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro Azerbaijan  will be present 57 athletes - 11 fighters, nine athletes, 13 fighters, and 3 gymnasts; as well as   four  members of the taekwondo and cyclists,  six judokas, two swimmers and one fencer, triathlon, shooting a gun and bow.

The ceremony of opening the 31st Summer Olympic Games held in Rio de Janeiro on 5 August at the famous stadium "Marakana". The Games will be attended by about 12 500 athletes from 250 countries in the world.  For the first time in the Olympic Game in 2016 are  included sports, such as golf and rugby. Games will last 17 days, the ceremony of closing will be held on August 21 at the same stadium "Marakana". -0-
