Blood collection points have been set up in 35 locations in connection with Ashura
On Ashura Day, over 2,300 people took part in blood donation campaigns (Updated)
2,313 people took part in blood donation campaigns on the occasion of Ashura Day on July 16 in Azerbaijan, including 1,378 in Baku and 935 in the regions. A total of 1,040 liters of blood were collected, the Ministry of Health reported. Blood donation was carried out in 35 locations in 27 cities and districts of the country.

This year, in connection with Ashura, blood collection points have been organized in 35 points of the country. Last year there were 16 such points, the statement of the State Committee for Work with Religious Structures. Employees of the State Committee itself are also among the participants of the action.
The above-mentioned points are open in universities, hospitals and mosques. The collected blood is directed to the needs of patients and sufferers from hemophilia and thalassemia.
