Border Service Reported on April Activities
During April 2015 the country's State Border Service detained 38 people for various offenses, the press service of the agency said. Among those detained are six Iranians, three – from Uzbekistan, one – from Tajikistan, Georgia and Ukraine each. 21 people were detained in the Caspian Sea for violations of the border regime.
The Service recorded 20 cases of attempts to transport drugs across the state border, weighing more than 27 kg.
Four criminal groups engaged in smuggling were defused and 8 of their members were arrested. -02D-

In 2024, as a result of external cyberattacks, 16,804 cases of fraud were recorded, and over 22.4 million manat were stolen from citizens' bank cards, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan reported on Wednesday.

In Yardimly region of Azerbaijan, 20 kg of drugs and psychotropic preparations were found and seized from drug couriers, the regional group of the Interior Ministry's press service reported.
