British Airways Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing in Baku
Baku / 12.0718 / Turan: The British Airways plane that was flying from London to Mumbai made an emergency landing in the Baku International Airport on Thursday. According to the press service of the Baku airport, the landing was connected with the failure of the left engine.
There were a total of 214 people on board the Boeing-777 (197 passengers and 17 crew members).
In this connection, in the morning of July 12 at 05:52 an alarm was announced at the airport. All emergency services were alerted. The plane landed safely at 06:29, and there were no casualties.
The passengers are accommodated in the transit zone of the airport. They are provided with food and water.
The airport press service notes that the modern navigation and ground equipment of the Baku airport allows the airlines to choose this airport in the event of force majeure in the airspace of the region. -71D-
