Census to Be Held in Azerbaijan in 2019
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on 7 September to hold the population census in Azerbaijan in 2019.
According to the document, the next population census in Azerbaijan will be held 1-10 October 2019.
Preparatory work related to the population census and its implementation, the results of the processing, publication and disclosure of the results are assigned to the State Statistics Committee.
The Cabinet of Ministers is in charge within two months to approve the plan of measures on preparation and holding of the census in 2019.
According to the committee, on June 1, 2016 the population of Azerbaijan amounted to 9,747,400 persons. -06D-
