Civil Society Activists Travel to Oslo to Receive Sakharov Prize
A group of civil society representatives from Azerbaijan went to Norway to participate in the ceremony of awarding the Sakharov Prize established by the Norwegian Human Rights House.
As it became known to Turan, the delegation includes the journalist Seymour Kazimli, the acting editor of the paper Azadlig Rahim Hajiyev, and Ulvi Hasanl from NIDA organization.
In addition, parents of several political prisoners are invited to the ceremony.
Recall that this year the Norwegian Sakharov Prize has been awarded to political prisoners in Azerbaijan, which are no less than 100 people.
This award is unrelated to the Sakharov Prize established by the European Parliament. -05B-
