Baku / 08.09.17 / Turan: The consideration of appeals by the director of the Turan news agency Mehman Aliyev has been postponed for September 11, the lawyer Fuad Agayev told journalists.
On September 8, at 14:30, the court had to consider a complaint about Aliyev's detention on August 24. And at 15.00 it was planned to consider a complaint about the refusal to release Aliyev on bail. However, the meetings did not take place.
"For all my 35-year activity in the legal field, I have never encountered such a thing before, when the judge, the prosecutor, the investigator, and the lawyer appear in the hall, but the meeting is not held," Agayev said.
According to him, a few minutes before 18.00 he was told in court that "because of problems with the convoy" Mehman Aliyev could not be brought to court.
The complaints will be considered on Monday at 14.30 and 15.00, respectively.
