Member of the ReAl Party accused of "disobeying the police"
Baku/05.05.19/Turan: A protocol has been drawn up under the Article 535.1 (disobeying demands of a police officer) of the Code of Administrative Offenses, with respect to a member of the Republican Alternative Party (ReAl), Emin Babayev. On Saturday he appeared before the court. The consideration of the case is postponed to May 6. According to ReAl executive secretary Natiq Jafarli, on May 4, at about 11:00, two persons approached Babayev demanded to go with them to the police. A report was drawn up at the police station stating that Babayev was detained for speaking obscenely on telephone, and when the police officers made a remark to him, he allegedly did not obey them. In the police office, he was asked mainly about his activities in social networks and the ReAl party.
Then Babayev was taken to the Sabail District Court. However, the judge on duty, Ilkin Rustamli, postponed the trial to May 6. Despite the fact that the court released Babayev before his release, he was brought to the Sabail police station for taking a subscription and was held there for another hour. Jafarli called the accusation frivolous and connected it with the political activities of Babayev. -0-

The court ordered the property be returned to its rightful owner, Samaya Aliyeva. However, the Ministry of Justice intervened, citing a presidential decree from July 1, 2004, which approved a state program for improving the living and working conditions of refugees. Under this directive, refugees without alternative housing cannot be evicted until they are provided with a replacement residence by the Executive Authority.
