Court of Appeal upholds Nazim Agabekov in custody
On 29 July the Baku Court of Appeal upheld the arrest of Nazim Agabekov, brother-in-law of Emin Milli, the head of "Meydan TV," wrote the lawyer Adil Ismaylov on his Facebook page. " The arrested categorically rejects the charges of drug possession and considers his arrest a misunderstanding," said the lawyer. From the posts of the lawyer it became clear that Agabeyov was arrested on July 23 in the morning by the workers of Police Department against Narcotics. He was taken to the Central Police Department of Baku and during the search drugs were "found" (5 gram of heroin.)
On July 24 a lawsuit was filed against him, and Khatai Court arrested him for four months. Agabekov is kept in the jail of Kurdakhani.
Emin Milli argues that the arrest of his relative is to stop him to criticize the government. -02D-
