The attack on Ilgar Mammadov in prison
The REAL Movement issued a statement condemning the physical pressure on the imprisoned leader of the organization Ilgar Mamedov. The talk is about the attack on Ilgar Mammadov by his cellmate the night before in the Colony N2, who caused him injuries. The statement said that the authorities are using all forms of pressure to force Mammadov to write a petition for pardon. Because Mammadov refuses to write it the authorities carry out such provocations. The statement noted that the authorities are directly responsible for what is happening, and not any pressure will force Mammadov abandon his beliefs.
Authors of the statement require from official Baku to implement the decisions of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe for the immediate release of Ilgar Mamedov from prison.
