Cypriot fans attack the fans of "Neftchi"
Skirmishes between Cyprus APOEL fans and support groups of Azerbaijani football club "Neftchi" continued today in the Nicosia, the capital of Greek Cyprus. On Thursday evening there will be a return match play-off of European League between APOEL and "Neftchi".
According to azerisport.com, the situation is complicated by the position of the Cypriot media, which said yesterday that it is necessary to answer the Azerbaijani fans who brought to the match in Baku the flag of Northern Cyprus.
On Thursday night a group of APOEL fans entered the hotel where were the players of "Neftchi", and shouted anti-Turkish slogans. A week ago, the first match in Baku ended in a draw 1:1.—06D--
