Demolition of buildings in the center of the capital intensified
On New Year's Eve the government increased the demolition of facilities and a number of old buildings in the city center. The most notable of these was the demolition of the former five-story building of the Main Police Department of Baku in the Nasimi district in the former Ketskhoveli Street.
Empty for almost two years, the building of the Soviet period was demolished in a matter of days. What will be in its place is still unknown. Allegedly, it is planned to build 36-storey luxury housing.
Another significant demolition is near the metro station Sahil, which was placed before the sewing factory. The billboards, which cover the building, depict a beautiful architectural building, which apparently will be built there.
In general, representatives of the Mayor's Office express broad plans for the demolition of old housing in the center and on the outskirts. In particular, next year they will continue the demolition of housing near the Winter Garden (Mirza Aga Aliyev Street), the former Soviet Street and the military hospital.
In addition, the demolition of one-story old buildings is conducted in the Bayil settlement, on streets adjacent to the New Boulevard near the Crystal Hall. -02B-
