Detained five people who committed robbery attack on the leader of the Mountain Jews
As a result of operative-search measures were detained on suspects in the robbery on December 6 the house of the leader of the community of Mountain Jews of Azerbaijan, Boris Simandueva in Krasnaya Sloboda of Guba region, reads the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan. The police detained Eldar Avadyaev, Khalid Seyidov, Turkan Rahimov, Turaj Veliyev, and Afghan Ibragimov. According to investigators, they have caused Simanduev and his sister Lisa injuries, and stole money and jewelry. A lawsuit was filed under the Article 181.3.2 (robbery) of the Criminal Code.
The former head of the community of Mountain Jews, and now director of the Center for Protection of Heritage Jews of Azerbaijan, Semen Ikhiilov, regarded the offense as an ordinary crime.
