Distributed Video Footage of Alleged Azerbaijani Students Joining PKK
Messages have spread about the appearance of three Azerbaijani students that disappeared in Ankara in the camp of the terrorist organization PKK in Iraq. The disappearance of Sanan Gyulahmedov from Ildrim Beyazit University, Mobil from Ankara University and Mammadhuseyn from Turgut Ozal University.
The parents of the students say they lost contact with their sons three month ago.
The law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan and Turkey do not provide information about the circumstances of the disappearance of the young people.
Meanwhile, on June 6 a Youtube user Anfvideo" put a video interview with three young people entitled "Young Azerbaijanis in the ranks of the PKK»
(Https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3dnetx0gKc). They are dressed in the form of PKK militants, with Kalashnikov submachine guns on their shoulders.
In the interview the young people say that they are from Azerbaijan and joined PKK in Turkey.
One of them is represented as a student Faramaz Azeri from Ildrim Bayazit University, another student is called Babak Hakyr from Idrim Bayazit and the third said that he is a student at the University of Balikesir, Azad Mirkan. They say that socialism will save the world and "no matter where you're fighting for justice - in the mountains of Colombia, or Kurdistan." The young people sing Azerbaijani and Kurdish songs, as well as International in the Azerbaijani language.
The names of these individuals do not coincide with the names of the missing students.
Perhaps the young people in the video do not show their real names and only report their nicknames.
It was impossible to confirm the authenticity of the video. Law enforcement authorities have not commented on the video.
The Embassy of Azerbaijan confirmed the disappearance of Sanan Gyulahmedov to the local media.
