Doctors of the Ministry of Justice: Mehman Huseynov does not need an operation
Baku / 20.05.17 / Turan: The imprisoned prisoner blogger Mehman Huseynov was examined by specialists of the medical department of the Ministry of Justice, stated in a letter to lawyer Elchin Sadigov from the deputy chief of the Ministry of Justice of the Ministry of Justice Iftikhar Gurbanov. The letter states that Huseynov suffered from the varicose veins on his hip while at large, and in everyday life this "does not create problems." If in the future there is a need, Huseynov will be provided with the necessary medical assistance, writes Gurbanov.
It is also alleged that Huseynov was constantly under medical supervision during detention in penitentiary institutions and received medical care. "When entering the pre-trial detention center, during the medical examination Mehman Huseynov did not complain about his health. He did not talk about torture and the doctors did not find any damage on his body. Huseynov said that he suffers varicose veins for two years, but did not submit supporting documents, "the letter said.
Doctors came to the conclusion that there is no need for surgery, and they prescribed appropriate treatment. At the present time, the fulfillment of this appointment has begun, reports Gurbanov. However, the defense does not agree with the doctors' conclusion that there is no need for a surgical operation. The lawyer intends to apply again to the relevant structures. Huseynov complained of growing pain in prison.
* Recall that on March 3, 2017, by the decision of the Surakhani court, Huseynov was sentenced to two years of imprisonment on charges of libel against the police, where the blogger was tortured. Meanwhile, bloggers' colleagues are convinced that the real reason for the imprisonment of Mehman is his video report mocking Mehriban Aliyeva's appointment as the country's vice-president. 06B-
