Drug courier tried to smuggle 28 kg of hashish to Russia
Baku/05.01.23/Turan: On January 1, the police detained a member of the transnational criminal group Farhad Aliyev, who was trying to smuggle a large consignment of drugs to Russia, the press service of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported on Thursday.
The detainee was seized 2 packages of hashish with a total weight of 28 kg and a bank card, with which he cashed money from the sale of drugs.
The detainee said that he received drugs from an Iranian citizen named Mohammad in the Salyan region.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs claims that Farhad Aliyev is one of the main suppliers of drugs to foreign countries through Azerbaijan.
