During Holidays, Coach Fares Rose Sharply
At the bus station in Baku fares on long-distance passenger traffic have risen sharply during the holidays. As the correspondent of Turan reported from the bus station, at the box office there are no tickets for bus services in virtually every area. Additionalroutes have been introduced, but their fares increased by 40-60 per cent. Thus, if a ticket for a trip to the Goranboy district on conventionalroutes was AZN 6, in the morning on March 20 the additional bus drivers required from the passengers 10 manat.
For persons traveling to areas with their families it is a severe blow.
People are angry, but the representatives of the Directorate of the bus station refused to take action to reduce the fares.
