June 30, at the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan elections of corresponding members and real members of the Academy of Sciences are held.
According to the report of the Presidium of the Academy, 43candidates claim 21 academician positions, and 265 scientists claim 43 seats of corresponding members.
Voting and counting votes in the departments of the Academy will be completed in a few hours. In the afternoon, announcement of the results is expected. -03D-

Namizad Safarov, a candidate for deputy in Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, has criticized the Central Election Commission (CEC) for its unpreparedness in holding democratic elections.
