Exhibition dedicated to the January tragedy
"Conversation of pictures" is the name of the exhibition dedicated to the 23rd anniversary of the January tragedy, which opens on January 17 at the Museum of Independence.
The event, organized by the Association of Photographers of Azerbaijan (OPA) will present for the first time the works of Farid Mammadov, Asim Talibli, Mirnaib Hasanoglu, Oleg Litvin, Tahir Jafarov, Rauf Umud, and others that show the events of January 20, 1990.
For the first time at the exhibition, the Director of the Baku Art Center, Rafael Gulmamedli, will demonstrate evidence of witnesses of the tragedy.
Documentary film about the January tragedy will be screened.—16/06D-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
